Our rustic home welcomes families to a peaceful stay. We welcome our guests to bring their own hot spot for their computer use. Upon entering the front door our guest will have the magnifients of views, through our expansive windows, of nature dressed in the seasons and the private lake. The inside of our home has elaborate wood ceilings, beams and accents. The large living room with a floor to ceiling fireplace and dining room welcome guests to relax and enjoy views and master crafter people from the 1960's. Four bedrooms to choose from for your resting accommodations. At this time, we offer the use of two of the bedrooms chosen by the renter. Nearby attractions include Ashland University, Dragway 42, Grandpa's Cheesebarn, produce auction (seasonal), and local Amish roadside stands. Owners do live onsite, our home is close by and can be seen from the cottage from across the yard down in the valley. We are available should you need anything, but we also give you complete privacy. Our drive is steep and windy and about 1/4 mile long. It's gravel and paved mixture and is not suitable for low clearance vehicles. Winter months please check before booking as the drive will require a 4WD vehicle, however we can be available to transport you up and down the drive if you don't have a 4WD. When it's below 0 degrees we close the cabin. ** Please remember, we are a cabin in the woods amongst 60 acres. This is becoming a particularly bad year for ticks. We have pets ourselves, but we treat our pets with preventative flea & tick medication, so we don't have any issues. But, if you are bringing a pet, and they are not on any kind of flea and tick regimen, well...then your pet will most likely get some fleas and ticks when walking outdoors. To enjoy your stay to it's fullest- we recommend getting your pet treated weeks ahead of your stay with us.

This apartment is on the third floor of a beautifully renovated historic building housing several apartments, Flex Yoga Wooster on the second floor and Sure House Coffee on the first floor. We are within a few minutes walking distance to Restaurants, Bars, Boutiques, and Coffee Shops. We are also very close to the College of Wooster and Buehler's Grocery. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). The space There are two other apartments on the same floor as our Airbnb apartment, a yoga studio and an apartment on the floor beneath, and a coffee shop and butcher shop on the first floor. While there is other activity in the building it does not typically get very loud at all. Other things to note There is no elevator in the building and the apartment is located on the third floor so it is only recommended guests stay that are comfortable with a few flights of stairs. There is a television in the room with a free Amazon Prime Video account for you to use, along with a DVD player, but please note there is no cable. Absolutely no smoking or pets.
